'LITTLE THATCH’, believed to date back to 1650, is the true ‘chocolate box’ image of a typical thatched country cottage, with roses round the door and a little stream outside which even has a few resident ducks!
The front of the cottage with a clipped miniature box hedge, is a lovely place to sit and relax in the evening sun. Look across the stream and field to see the church in the centre of the conservation village of Lillingstone Lovell where very little has changed over the last 150 years or so. The heavily beamed sitting room has very low ceilings, so you have been warned! It has an inglenook with a woodburner and a basket of logs, quarry tiled floor with a Persian rug, two small sofas, one converts to a bed for the occasional overnight guest and a reclining armchair. A small antique pine dining table and chairs for two. A colour television, video, radio, tape, CD and DVD player for your home entertainment. The front door opens straight out into the garden with views across the field to the church.
Adjoining the artist owner’s cottage it shares a very large garden, which is a riot of colour in the summer with poppies, hollyhocks and foxgloves.
