Within Northumberland itself you can explore the beautiful coastal route and visit the famous historic castles in the area. These include Bamburgh Castle, Warkworth Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle made famous by Harry Potter. Alnwick itself and the beautiful Alnwick Gardens is worth a visit and accessible within 20 minutes.You can explore the rugged seafront at Alnmouth or take a trip across the North Seas to Lindisfarne.
