A three acre hillside garden in beautiful countryside, old & new gardens
along winding paths into secret areas. gardens full of colour,ideas &
inspirational plants. Take time to enjoy the uniquely tranquil atmosphere of
the gardens.
Spring visitors enjoy, snowdrops,hellebores and a rich assortment of spring
bulbs and often the sound of the curlews overhead. A vast assortment of
hardy perennials and shrubs awaken in succession throughout the year
starting in the Winter Gaden The Bowes garden is a feast for the senses with
aromatic foliage, textures and sounds. In the Meditation Garden enjoy the
silence as you watch swallows dipping over the pond or watch newts
from the bridg.e Pause at in Slate Garden created to attract butterflies. To
gardeners the is nursery irresistable with its stock of unusual hardy
plants produced on site. Enjoy refreshments under the ancient vine or sit in
the private topiary garden reserved for coffee shop visitors.
