The Sherwood Clifftop Hotel is superbly situated overlooking the Bay, with breathtaking views of Culver Cliffs and the English Channel. The hotel is of a very high standard and yet The Sherwood retains its homely atmosphere and friendliness for which it has always been renowned.
Two hours South of London, lying just off the centre of southern England, the Isle of Wight is known as the Garden Isle. It is a diamond shape, thirteen miles north to south and twenty three miles east to west.
Travelling to the Isle of Wight by car or by foot can be made via the car ferries from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, Southampton to East Cowes or Lymington in the New Forest to Yarmouth. There is also a foot passenger ferry from Portsmouth to Ryde (FastCat) and from Southampton to Cowes (the Red Jet).
