The Strangers Home is situated within a very friendly village with fantastic views of the River Stour. We offer amazing food served lunch time and evenings at a very reasonable price. All produce is sourced locally and cooked fresh on the premises. We also have a seasonal campsite open from March through to October inviting tourers, with showers, toilets and more facilities plus a limited amount of electric hook ups. The Strangers Home also enjoys most weekends of live music and entertainment and childrens entertainment throughout the summer and school holidays. With a large beer garden and play equipment for children and large off road car park. Being situated 10 miles from Colchester (the oldest recorded town in Britain) and 2-3 miles from Manningtree (the smallest town in Britain) there are plenty of tourist places to visit. The Strangers Home is a great place to bring your family for a relaxed stay, or why not try our fantastic food menu.
