Kenilworth is a grand 4 star (Visit Britain) Victorian Guest House, built in 1896, and it retains many original features. However, modern comforts prevail, and all of the rooms are centrally heated and fully double-glazed, and all of the bedrooms
are now en-suite. We offer king-size double, double, twin, family and single
rooms, and all bedrooms have flat screen digital colour TV (with DAB radio),
wineglasses, towels , hairdryer, refreshment tray, and alarm clock. The
single room also has a DVD player.
We have a spacious guests' lounge on the ground floor, with colour TV, DVD
player and lots of information on places to visit, things to see and do, and
local maps and guides.
Our hearty breakfasts (lighter versions are possible!) include locally made
Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs. Vegetarian alternatives are also
available, and the meat and non-meat ingredients are cooked and served
separately.
We have some private off-road parking and there is free parking on Holly
Road itself. We are situated in a quiet residential area of Windermere, yet only two
minutes' walk to all of the local shops and amenities. Witht or without
transport, Kenilworth Guest House is and ideal base from which to explore
this beautiful part of England!
