We don't have a roadside sign - we want to be a little bit special for our guests. Welcome to Rhyd Hir - a rebuilt 16th century Welsh Longhouse, hidden away in its own dell in a one acre 8 level garden with stream and waterfall, surrounded by beautiful trees, countryside, Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, and close to the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Yet, we're only one hour from Chester, 90 minutes from Manchester and Liverpool international airports, and close to the M54 motorway and Shrewsbury. If you like quiet, almost traffic-free roads, lovely rolling landscapes, picturesque towns and villages, historic sites, delicious breakfasts, this is the place to come.
