Jailhouse Rock restaurant in London's Hornchurch suburb is guaranteed fun. This highly-themed restaurant takes the rock and pop of the 1950's onward, decks the dining room out in checkered table cloths, Elvis memorabilia, costumes its waiters like Elvis in the army and lets the good times roll. Even the menu is musically-themed, with American Tex-Mex dishes like starter of Chantilly Lace Wings (bbq buffalo wings), main course of Big Hunk of Burning Love (10oz sirloin with sautéed mushrooms and chunky chips) and dessert of un-christened hot deep Belgian apple pie with ice cream. Evenings brings look-alike pop star impersonators, from the aforementioned Elvis to Madonna, Stevie Wonder and Robbie Williams. This place is a gas.
