Mull Rail is unique, only 40 mins sail from Oban by Cal-Mac ferry. Scotland's only island passenger railway starts at Craignure. The 260mm gauge line runs steam and diesel hauled trains to Torosay Castle. The 20 minute journey is a spectacular sea, mountain and woodland panorama. Group rates and special trains available. The railway has limited accommodation for wheelchair-bound passengers. Torosay is a fine example of Scottish Baronial style by leading Victorian architect David Bryce. The 12 acres of gardens and woodland walks contain many interesting features. The house is a much loved family home with a fascinating family archive.
