Overlooking the dramatic ruins of Dunstanburgh castle and beautiful Embleton bay, the Sportsman Inn is an ideal place to stay for a visit in Northumberland. For first time visitors we are situated in the coastal heart of this region. Ten minutes drive from Alnwick and light years away from the bustle and hassle of market towns. This area is all about discovering empty beaches, ruined castles, little fishing villages, inland rivers and mountain walks. The Farne islands and Holy Island are also easily accessed from the Sportsman.

We have ten rooms, nine of which are sea facing and all recently renovated to a high standard. Winner of the Northumberland food festival and asked to host a stall at the Alnwick food festival, we are renowned for the freshest of local seafood. Rooms Range from £39.00 pppn b&b up to £69.00 pppn b&b for our suite. Taking the train to Edinburgh and Newcastle from Alnmouth station is an easy option for a day trip.
