A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at The Coach House, a popular AA 4 Star Guest House offering great value comfortable ensuite rooms and fabulous breakfasts. Weekend discounts, ground floor rooms, parking and free WiFi access.

The Coach House is just out from the centre of historic Melbourne, a village with pretty houses, friendly people, lots of pubs and good restaurants, a spectacular Parish Church described as “a miniature cathedral”, a supermarket and shops (including a great shoe shop!), all just a short level walk away. Thomas Cook was born and started his travel empire from Melbourne. Melbourne Hall was home to Queen Victoria's first Prime Minister, Lord Melbourne, who gave his name to Melbourne in Australia.

Melbourne is easy to get to, just 6 miles from the M1 and M42 motorways, 4 miles from East Midlands Airport and with excellent access to Donington Park, Derby and Nottingham. Melbourne is in the National Forest, one of Britain’s boldest environmental projects, creating a new Forest for the nation across 200 square miles, providing an area packed with places to go for a great day out whatever the weather (ask us for a brochure with discount vouchers worth over £100). Nearby attractions include 3 stunning National Trust Houses (Calke Abbey, Kedleston Hall, and Sudbury Hall), Twycross Zoo, National Memorial Arboretum, Royal Crown Derby and Alton Towers.

The “Price per Room” rates below are per night for an ensuite room, and include a hearty traditional English breakfast. Discounts available on some weekends and for bookings of 3 nights or more. The Coach House is personally managed by the resident owners to ensure that your stay is pleasant and restful. Click on the website link above or give us a call and we will be delighted to assist you.

We are pleased to welcome children. There is no charge for the under 2's and just £6 per night for ages 2 to 12 sharing parents room.
