Auld Post Hotel is located halfway between Edinburgh & St Andrews. Built in 1903 to house Fife's main Post Office, building on the corner of Hunter Street has been a Kirkcaldy landmark for the whole of the twentieth century. In 1996 the GPO decided, due to modernisation, that they no longer needed the building. The Auld Post Hotel was conceived. Our plan was to convert the Post Office to a hotel which was sympathetic to the history of the B-listed building. To this end, we retained many original features, whilst introducing modern comforts.
