Originally built in the 14th century this establishment remained in one local family for many years.Martin Clarke is the new incoming Landlord and a familiar local face. All restaurant ingredients are locally supplied including our fresh vegetables and butcher supplied hung meat which is tasty and tender, our menus reflect solid originality in both flavour and presentation along with a generous helping! A friendly local atmosphere whether you are in the bar or restaurant area you'll always find someone to talk to amongst the local characters, bbq's on sunny Sundays afternoons are a regular event. FOLK SINGERS Monday nights from about 10.00pm a group of local Folk Singers popularise the front bar, including John (on guitar), Sally (on fiddle), Simon, Chris (song masters) and a number of others including the drinkers at the bar, sing along to well known tunes, always an enjoyable evening....come along and join in! DARTS We play in the Leighton Buzzard darts league with both summer and winter teams, interested in playing? then pop along on a Monday evening we always welcome new players (you don't have to be a professional to join in!) DOMINOES There are two teams an 'A' and 'B' team playing every Tuesday both home and away during the winter season and there again we like to welcome new blood to keep our opponents on their toes. PARTY/THEME NIGHTS Theme nights will be regular events throughout this year and the Al a Carte menu will be available Fridays/Saturdays with hot food served over the bar Monday-Thursdays and not forgetting the extremely good value Sunday Roasts between 12-4pm.
