The Crown Hotel is a family run historic inn which was originally built in 1610 and retains many interesting features.Situated in the very centre of Long Melford’s famous high street, The Crown Hotel is an excellent choice if you are here to visit the many historic buildings, halls, fine shops, Antiques or just to take a pleasant walk through the Stour valley made famous by Constable & Gainsborough.Our restaurant offers a full A La Carte menu for dinner & lunch with modern British cooking and traditional favourites prepared from the freshest local produce where available. This attracts residents as well as non residents, making booking advisable. In summer our doors are open to our courtyard garden providing the perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or al fresco dinning.The bed rooms offer a selection of well appointed rooms (12 in all) with en-suite facilities, central heating, flat screen television, radio, trouser press, tea / coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone.The Crown Hotel is a free house, making it possible for us to offer a fine selection of premium beers including Peroni, Amstel and Stella Artois. Also available is an ever changing selection of real ales from our local brewery's; Nethergate and Adnams to name two.The bar itself is arranged a round a central serving area, giving a variety of comfortable seating. During the colder months a roaring log fire cheers the weary site seer, and at all seasons the bar offers a fine selection of tasty snacks ranging form the lighter sandwich to a good hot meal.
