Nestling in the heart of the Kentish Weald, The Star and Eagle is found in the village of Goudhurst. Standing 400ft above sea level the building commands outstanding views across the surrounding countryside, for which the area is renowned. Owned and managed for the past 20 years by Karin Martinez, the Star and Eagle has an envious reputation in the area for wonderful food, cooked & prepared by her Spanish husband Enrique and team of chef’s. There is a traditional A la carte restaurant or more informal dining in the bar areas.

The Star and Eagle is less than three miles off the A21 with easy access to Royal Tunbridge Wells and Hastings. It is the perfect location for a break away and a refreshing alternative for the business visitor seeking a more peaceful ambience. The Star and Eagle has a total of 10 bedrooms, all of the highest standard and comfort and all varying in style, including a splendidly renovated Four Poster and an old fashioned Half Tester bed. All rooms have digital T.V. and there is wireless access to the internet free for guests. Coffee & Tea is served in The Refectory & Bar from early in the morning through to bedtime. Room service is available for tea/coffee/drinks delivered to your room. Our small team of friendly staff will help to make your stay and enjoyable experience any time of the year.
