A welcome smile, affordable good food, cool comfort, panoramic Thames views... Zakudia offers all these and more. Both a bar and restaurant, it's the kind of place where you feel at home whatever you're doing. Especially if its sharing a platter - the best way to 'do' Zakudia - of modern European goodies such as chunky chips, chicken brochettes with satay sauce, shredded duck wraps...A small choice of mains proves that it's quality not quantity that keeps punters happy. Having said that, the exciting range of sandwiches and salads are also clearly main courses. Try the Zakudia steak sandwich on grilled wasabi mayo with sweet potato chips and panko onion rings. The well-stocked bar hints nice and loud at the owners' fondness for good gin, vodka and whisky. A perfect stylish stop-off point on the way home from a heady nose around Borough Market, or an enlightening look around Tate Modern.
