An Edwardian Arts and Crafts influenced house, the home of George Bernard Shaw from 1906 until his death in 1950. The rooms remain much as he left them, with many literary and personal effects evoking the individuality and genius of this great dramatist.

The modest house provides a fascinating insight into the domestic life of a literary figure in the first half of the twentieth century. The three and a half acre garden consists of richly planted borders, many varieties of trees and is also a haven for wildlife. At the bottom of the garden stands Shaw's revolving writing hut.
