A sumptuous, modern meeting and eating place that attracts a loyal crowd of regulars, both of lunching ladies and professional types. The long, curvaceous bar with its vivacious crowd and floor-to-ceiling mirrors is a terrific place to start, before drifting into the chic dining room with its pillars and brown leather details. The bright, slightly rustic modern European menu seems to please just about everyone, and there are daily blackboard specials. What's cooking? By all means, try the oysters with tomato, chilli and coriander salsa, or the crispy duck salad with soy and sesame dressing to start. Spit-roasted chicken, lamb and guinea fowl could follow, or one of the more complicated dishes like fillet steak with wok-fried spring greens, wild mushrooms and foie gras won tons.
