In the heart of the bustling village of Yarmouth, looking out over the harbour, this 17 century town house offers warm, traditional, individually decorated accommodation and superb cuisine.

Meticulous attention to detail ensures a perfect marriage of comfort and relaxation in the new restaurant overlooking the Solent. Head chef, Jose Grazziosi, joined the George Hotel in May 2007 and has brought with him a wealth of experience, having been head chef at the Jesmond Dene Hotel in Yorkshire for the previous 2 years. Before that Jose spent 5 years as sous chef at Rick Stein's seafood restaurant in Padstow. Menus are seasonal, and the food is contemporary, with a European influence. Seafood features prominently, including the renowned seafood soup, a house speciality that is not to be missed. Relax by the roaring log fire in the restful surroundings of the wood-panelled bar. Let the stresses of everyday life disappear, and enjoy afternoon tea or cocktails before dinner.
