More Information

Mark & Chris extend a warm welcome to you to join them at the White Hart Hotel, Modbury – a traditional pub with traditional values! Dating from the time of the Domesday Book, Modbury is a thriving community between Dartmoor and the sea, in the South Hams area of Devon.

The White Hart Hotel is very close to the A38 and about 20 minutes either from Dartmoor or Plymouth, so ideal for walkers exploring Dartmoor and the stunning countryside, or as a stopping point before going on to Cornwall or the Continent from Plymouth.

We are a great St Austell pub situated in the heart of this fantastic old town, and reflecting ‘old Modbury’ charm. With a wood burning stove in the bar in the winter, and cosy traditional seating – the White Hart Hotel beckons you in to sit, relax and enjoy the good company of friends old and new. In the summer months, windows are opened to lead out onto a cobbled terrace where you can relax in the shade and enjoy a cool drink. Serving fabulous St Austell ales, a good variety of lagers and cider, wines from around the world and a huge range of soft drinks and beverages – you will find something for every taste. Our food is sourced from local ingredients where possible and we offer great value food, cooked freshly and presented beautifully.
