I got two cabs in one day with croydon carriages to a place around 30 minutes away. The first cab was fine, cost £20 as we expected. The second cab however was at 3 in the morning so I had to put a deposit down. I asked if I could retrieve my deposit from the office the next day which they said was fine. We were quoted this journey for £30. However the driver asked for £40 and kept my deposit, which was given to him by the company. For a week I was calling the company making complaints, even going into the office to talk to them, however I was always told they would call me back, which they didn't. After a week of trying the driver called and said there was no way we could get the money back, and the company couldn't do anything about it because they take no responsibility for their drivers. Croydon carriages do have a lot of good drivers, but unfortunately some, like the one we had, will happily take advantage and can get away with it because they are given the deposit which you pay the office, and if this happens the company will not help you. My advice, try another company which is likely to be more trustworthy.

Well what can I say about this company? We have used them over the last few years, and found them to be very reliable, polite and the vehicles are in good condition. Exactly what you would want from a cab company, well done guys & girls keep up the good work.
