I wanted a birthday 'getaway' and so some friends joined me for the w/e as they know me well and that I usually can select a 'tasty' band to go see. Slow Burner fit this bill well. I try to 'marry' a good R&B band to an equally excellent venue. The Bay Horse was one such pub. The restaurant is small but the welcome big The menue choice really good and as 'mash' has been a comfort food of mine since childhood this was the pub grub for me!The wine selection (we had a Scicilian Merlot) very good and reasonably priced.Afterwards we joined the friendly'locals' in the bar for the band and danced away the rest of the night to an awesome group of musicians. The real Ale ( Banks ) was to our liking and it was nice to see the guest Ale was our own local Brain's (St. Davids brew)! Our host landlord and his bar staff made us most welcome that cold bitter February night.A thoroughly good evening. Hope we weren't too noisy and boisterous. The Bay Horse is already on our 'must do again'list for sure.
