Totally unpleasant experience. Staff are rude, do not bother to complain to the landlord who has no customer service skills. If you do risk complaining be prepared to be intimidated by aggressive looking kitchen staff who take the time to come out of the kitchen to stare at you. Food is from the freezer to either the fryer or microwave garnished with some fresh salad or vegetables, overpriced for freezer food.

This was our second visit to the pub as a family. We have two children 4 & 7 whom are very well behaved and like to eat out. The pub has a pool table and on both occassions the children wanted to use the pool table. They are both good at pool and have used tables at other pubs. The pub has a childrens menu so you would therefore think that children would be welcome. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. After eating the children asked if they could use the pool table, and went to set up. My husband and I were still eating our meal and two members of staff informed us that we had to be with our children if they were going to plauy pool. The lady informed us that they were also too small they recommended older children could use but not yonger ones and they had replaced the table cover. My husband left the rest of his meal to supervise the children. Another staff member said WE ONLY REPLACED THE COVER YESTRDAY AND GAVE A LOOK TO SAY THEY SHOULD NOT BE ON THE TABLE. My husband was so angry we finished the game left our drinks to go and I went to pay. The landord insulted me more by saying "hope we did not upset you, but we kinda want children supervised due to the Madaline McCann business and there being an open door". AT NOT STAGE had our childrens safety been mentioned the only worry was the pool table and the NEW cover. I guess they should also prevent the stopping the locals using the table after 3 pints if their only worry over their pub is not there takings, customer satisfaction, no it's the pool table cover. The attitude of the staff is dreadful, if they do not want children promote it, dont have a menu and put a sign up saying they CANNOT use the table - we will not recommend the pub not visit again.
