What a beautiful hotel with ornate decor in the reception, bar and dining room with a grand marble stair case to the library on the second floor, unfortunately the stairs then became 'normal' but i still felt like Cinderella coming down the stairs!!!! The bedroom had a beautiful view of Edinburgh Castle and snow topped mountains, however the furniture was more of the era of 1970s which i felt let it down, but it was clean and comfortable. The scottish breakfast was delicious and set us up for the sight seeing no end!!The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all we thourghly enjoyed our stay and will return and recommend this hotel to friends and family alike.
