As the owner of the Bear & Ragged Staff in Bransford, I was dismayed to read KJM's review on this site. We appreciate all customer feedback - both good and thankfully, rarely, bad comments too. We most certainly do NOT charge a cover charge or make a charge for a glass of tap water. (Having checked our copy of the customer bill, the 3 x £2.75 was 3 pints of Guinness and the glass of water was a bottle of still mineral water at £1.50.)

Food was expensive but very good, as was the service. Sadly the evening was spoiled by being charged £1.50 for a small glass of tap water and discovering that £2.75 per person had been added as a 'cover charge'. Given the price of the food such overcharging is just plain greedy! So shame on you Bear and Ragged Staff.
