Booked a taxi the day before for a 10am pickup, to ensure I got to the station on time to catch a pre-booked train. The following day, 10am came and went, so at five past, I called to check the car was on its way. "He's two to three minutes away," they said, but there was still no car at quarter past. I phone again, at which point 500 cars go very defensive when I suggested there "two to three minutes" was optimistic. At that point I had little confidence that a car would be with me any time soon, and with time running out, I cancelled the car and drove myself to the station. Obviously this last minute change of plan was frustrating and inconvenient. I won't use 500 Cars again, I can't recommend them for either punctuality or honesty. Anyone who pre-books a taxi is usually doing it for a good reason, so not if a car doesn't turn up on time, then it's a very basic failiure of the service.
