Henry Vaughan
Born in Newton by Usk, South WalesBorn on 17th of April 1621
Died on 23rd of April 1695
Born 1621. Died 1695 - Welsh religious poet.
Studied at Jesus College, Oxford. Took his MD and practised as a physician. In 1650 printed a volume of mystical and religious poems. In 1651 a further collection was published without his authority by his twin brother. Also wrote prose, a collection of elegies, translations and religious pieces.
