Born 1860. Died 1935 - Scottish bird artist.

Studied at St Johnís Wood School of Art, London. Painted most of the plates of the Coloured Figures of the Birds of the British Isles (1885-97). Published British Birds (1915-16) and British Mammals (1920). His paintings were used in Observerís Book of British Birds (1937).
