Born 1917. Died 1996 - English writer, sister of Nancy.

Went to USA in 1939. Joined the US Communist Party, the subject of A Fine Old Conflict (1977). American life provided material for her writing including The American Way of Death (1963) and The Trial of Dr Spock (1970). Wrote her autobiography Hons and Rebels (1960).
