After working as a gossip columnist for the Daily Express, she published her first novel Jigsaw in 1923 and never looked back. A successful writer of romance novels, specialising in historical love themes. In 1983 she rated the longest entry in the Britsh Who’s Who and was named the top selling author in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records.
