Born 1922. Died 1986 - English cricketer.
Played 46 tests for England. Outstanding achievement was to take 19 wickets in the fourth test at Old Trafford in 1956 against Australia. Figures were 9 for 37 and 10 for 53. Retired in 1964 to become a television commentator.
