Born on 7th of December 1926

Islington-born Kossoff was evacuated to Kings Lynn for a time during WWII, his hosts noticing and encouraging his artistic abilities during his stay. His painting is expressionist in style, with liberal use of impasto, his colour palette evolving in brightness over the years.
