Died on 11th of June 1488

Born 1451. Died 1488 - King of Scotland.

Eldest son of James II whom he succeeded in 1460 at the age of eight. Was an unpopular and ineffective monarch. Attempts to bring about a reconciliation with England proved unpopular. Favoured particular noble families which led to an army being raised against him. Led to rebellion and the Battle of Sauchieburn where he was defeated and killed.
