Born 1949 - Journalist and newsreader.
Began working with the BBC in the 1970s as a continiuty announcer and newsreader on radio, moved to television in 1981. Presented a wide variety of news programmes including Sunday AM and BBC Breakfast. Still works for the BBC though no longer presents news bulletins.
