Began working as an antiques dealer in the 1970s. In 1998 he appeared on a two part documentary for the BBC. Came to notice as an antiques expert on This Morning but better known as presenter of the game show Bargain Hunt on the BBC. Subsequent shows included Dealing With Dickinson and Dickinson’s Real Deal.
