Died on 9th of January 1949

Born 1892. Died 1949 - English comedian.

Served in the British Army during World War I. Worked as a regular broadcaster in the early days of radio. Wrote many radio scripts but is best known for his weekly programme ITMA (Itís That Man Again). Died suddenly of a brain haemorrhage; the BBC decided that the show must die with him.
