Born 1775. Died 1802 - English painter.

Close friend of J M W Turner, they were both employed to colour prints with watercolour. Played a major role in established water colour as a recognised art form. Collections of his works are found in the Tate Britain, the British Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
