Began his career as a guitarist with The Yardbirds, an blues-based band whose sound evolved into experimental pop rock. Beck left the band in 1967 and formed The Jeff Beck Group. In the 1970s he moved towards jazz producing a number of albums. In 2007 he picked up a gong at Ronnie Scott’s Awards for Blues Artist Of The Year.
