Died on 21st of April 1962

Born 1885. Died 1962 – Aircraft designer.

Founded the first British aircraft manufacturing firm Handley-Page Ltd in 1909. Produced a series of military aircraft including the Halifax bomber in WWII. His civil aircraft included the Hannibal, Hermes and Herald transports. Knighted in 1942.
