Born 1957 - Comedienne and actress.

Trained at Central School of Speech and Drama. Began double act with Jennifer Saunders at the Comedy Store, London. Appeared on television in The Comic Strip Presents…(1982-93). Had success with their BBC series French and Saunders. Also appeared on television in Murder Most Horrid and The Vicar of Dibley. Married to comedian Lenny Henry.
