Born 1833. Died 1898 - English painter.


Studied at Exeter College, Oxford. Close friend of William Morris and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Designed tapestries and stained glass for Morris & Company. Early works were mainly watercolours, later works were oils. Subjects came from Arthurian romances and Greek myths.
