Horatio Bottomley

Born on 23rd of March 1860
Died on 26th of May 1933

Born 1860. Died 1933 - English journalist, financier and politician.


Raised in an orphanage. Started local paper The Hackney Hansard in 1844. Founded the weekly John Bull (1906) and became MP for South Hackney (1906-1912). Charged with fraud on numerous occasions, had bankruptcy petitions and writs filed against him. Imprisoned in 1922. Died in poverty.
