Born 1922. Died 2001 - Scottish economist and educationist.
An academic, social scientist, political activist and businessman. He studied at Dundee University, researched at Leeds and lectured at Sheffield and Aberdeen, before becoming Professor of Economics at the University of Strathclyde. He was the first dean of the first business school in Scotland.
