George Kenneth Younger

Born 1931 - Scottish Conservative politician.
Educated at Oxford. Manager and director of family brewing business. MP for Ayr (1964-1992), Secretary of State for Scotland (1979-86) and Defence Secretary (1986-89). Built up the Scottish Development Agency. Made a life peer in 1992.
