Born 1621. Died 1675 - English physician, a founder of the Royal Society.

Studied classics and medicine at Oxford. One of founder members of Royal Society of London. Published book on anatomy of the brain, discovered ring of vessels in the brain now known as the Circle of Willis. Pioneer in analysis of diabetes.
