Harlyn Bay is a quiet hamlet on the eastern side of Trevose Head with a horseshoe shaped bay, sand and pebble beach. Back dropped by sand dunes and imposing cliffs, whether you enjoy swimming, relaxing or wind surfing this is an ideal place to be. The pretty coastal walk takes you on a spectacular journey through scenery that authors only dream of, to wonderful places with strange sounding names such as Trevose, where a Lighthouse stands proud of the grey cliffs looking out to sea. Originally built in 1847 still serves a useful purpose today. Cats Cove, Constantine Bay, Mother Ivey’s Bay where Padstow’s life boat station is, to Stinking Cove, and an amazing ’Blow Hole’ at Trevone Bay. With cliff top paths where birds soar, to playing golf at Trevose Golf Course, the stunning scenery is sheer drama where vast sky scapes meet the Atlantic, is truly breathtaking and unforgettable. If you are tempted to play a round or two, take time to visit the ancient holy well that is thought to date from the 3rd Century and is adjacent to the ruins of St Constantine’s 15th Century church. Harlyn Bay is a whispered secret waiting to be heard.
