Sidford is an attractive village on the River Sid in Devon, home to over two thousand people. There are interesting buildings and a fabulous Norman Pack Horse bridge which spans the River. Artists and photographers have a choice of delightful scenery close by, or just a couple of miles will find the charming seaside town of Sidmouth. Sid Vale Heritage Centre has an interesting story waiting to be shared, or for lovers of the great outdoors whether it’s cycling through the picturesque Sid Valley, walking on Mutters Moor, or strolling around the Pecorama Pleasure Gardens where kaleidoscopic flowers dazzle, poses a difficult choice. If more is wished for there’s the model railway, crazy golf and Beer Heights Light Railway which will grant most wishes. Why not take the South West Coastal Path to Branscombe and discover the Old Bakery and Manor Mill, or perhaps the last thatched Forge of it’s kind will tempt, it’s all here. Or there is always 500 furry reasons to visit the Donkey Sanctuary, for an unforgettable experience and a link back in time there’s the enthralling Beer Quarry Caves, where a tour of the underground labyrinth and a visit to the museum unravels the mysteries of times long past.
