Reverse time by centuries with a visit to Dartmouth Castle which stands ever watchful over the River Dart, or there is Compton Castle which would grace any fairy story, built in the 14th Century has an intriguing history. Set within enchanting grounds complete with turrets, towers, portcullis this Medieval wonder even has a Rose Garden that fills the air with intoxicating scents. For younger visitors Brixham Aquarium has interesting creatures on offer , or perhaps Paignton Zoo will capture their hearts with a massive collection of animals and a chance to see the Crocodile Swamp and all who lurk there…………
