The Drum and Monkey is a delightful 17th Century Inn with log fires in winter. They serve traditional and reasonably priced bar food along with good real ales and fine wines and there is a good children’s menu. Outside there is a lovely courtyard garden where you can eat and drink weather permitting. I have eaten here several times with my wife and friends and we visit regularly now that we know how good it is. The menu is updated weekly and there is a specials board also. I particularly like the Wye valley beers served here - Wye Valley bitter and Butty Bach. There is ample parking space and three acres of grounds where a marqee can be errected for wedding functions etc. I have even seen helicopters land in the grounds and customers alight to dine.
