New Landlords, New menu, Landlord a pro chef, food is brilliant and really good new menu plus specials, or anything you ask for made to order - really nice staff and also the Russell upstairs is good also. Two great pubs in Polruan now

I totally agree with others who have said the food at this pub is awful!!.
Also, we sat for over an hour after we had finished our meal, and no-one attempted to clean the table for us, and we ended up doing it ourselves.
We decided to eat at the 'other' pub for the duration of our holiday, and it was a much nicer experience.

We had a meal in this pub, as we were staying nearby at the pretty camsite at the top of the village.
All I can say is, "nice place, shame about the food" We had a sandwich which was made from stale, sliced cheap bread, and my elderly mother had a Steak & Ale pie, which was cold, mostly puff pastry, and not very nice at all. We spent the rest of our holiday eating at the other pub, which was MUCH better in terms of meals, and service. We had heard bad reviews about the food at the Lugger, but decided to try it anyway. Seems the reviews were right.
